Clarmondial strengthens Board with appointment of Andrea Heinzer and Patrick Stauffer

Clarmondial is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea Heinzer and Patrick Stauffer as independent members of its Board of Directors.

The appointments represent another important milestone in Clarmondial’s continued growth as the firm expands its activities, strengthens partnerships with institutional investors and development finance institutions (DFIs), and implements a growing portfolio of impact investment mandates focused on climate, nature and sustaianble supply chains.

Clarmondial sincerely thanks Dr. Piera Waibel, who served as an independent director for 5 years, for her valuable contribution to the company’s development. The parties are exploring opportunities to continue collaborating in other capacities as Clarmondial enters its next phase of growth.

Andrea Heinzer brings more than two decades of experience in development finance and private market investments. Most recently, she served as Chief Investment Officer of Obviam, manager of the Swiss Investment Fund for Emerging Markets (SIFEM), Switzerland’s DFI, where she led investment activities across private equity, private debt and other private market strategies in emerging and frontier markets. Throughout her career, Andrea has worked closely with leading development finance institutions, institutional investors and fund managers to mobilise capital for sustainable development and economic growth. Her extensive experience in governance, investment strategy and institutional partnerships will further strengthen Clarmondial’s ability to scale innovative investment solutions.

Andrea Heinzer said: “Over the past two decades, I have seen first-hand the important role that private capital can play in supporting sustainable development when investment structures are practical, commercially sound and designed to address real market constraints. Clarmondial has consistently focused on building investment solutions that work in the real economy, particularly in agricultural supply chains where access to finance remains a critical challenge. I look forward to supporting the team as it continues to scale its impact and build long-term partnerships with investors and development finance institutions.”

Patrick Stauffer brings more than 25 years of experience in the asset management and investment funds industry. He previously worked at Pictet Private Bank and has held senior leadership roles across business development, fund governance and investment fund management. Today, he serves as an independent investment fund director and is a Certified Investment Fund Director (CIFD). His extensive experience in fund governance, regulatory oversight and institutional asset management will support Clarmondial as it continues to develop and manage institutional investment vehicles.

Patrick Stauffer said:”I have known members of the Clarmondial team for many years and have watched the company grow from an entrepreneurial advisory firm into a recognised specialist in sustainable investment solutions. What has remained constant is its commitment to combining rigorous investment thinking with practical implementation. I look forward to supporting Clarmondial’s continued development, particularly as it expands its institutional investment activities and governance framework.”

Tanja Havemann, Founder and Director of Clarmondial, added: “From the beginning, Clarmondial has focused on building investment solutions that are commercially viable, scalable and grounded in the realities of agricultural value chains. As our business continues to grow, strengthening our governance and strategic oversight is a natural next step. Andrea and Patrick bring complementary expertise that will help us continue delivering innovative investment solutions for our partners while maintaining the high standards of governance and professionalism that institutional investors expect.”
